2 weeks after surgery

Two weeks after surgery and Bessie has her staples removed. She is happier than ever. Her oncologist and surgeon were both confused as to why cancer appear on her amputation site almost 2 1/2 years later. They said that they have never seen that happen. We received the pathology results which are even more surprising. Bessie’s amputation site tumor was osteosarcoma which is the same cancer that was in her ankle. The 2nd cancer was in soft tissue not bone.
We are overjoyed that she is still happy and healthy.

  3. Bessie is our rockstar! Everyone looks at her and says poor girl. Bessie will have none of that foolishness. Just last night I let her out to potty before bed and she took off full speed in pursuit of a rabbit. She is not about taking it easy.

  4. Smooch! Smooch! Bessie you are just an amazing soul, a ray of sunshine and a beacon of hope for those going through cancer with their Tripawd. THANK YOU for sharing this journey with us, we are delighted to be part of your life!

Get those rabbits girl (’cause we know you’ll be nice and only fake em out, right?;)
